2019 Ford Raptor The photos that help tell the story Looking a bit stormy over there! Never a worry with this all-terrain truck. Welcome to the Raptor's cockpit. The seats hold you firmly and the steering wheel feels great and easy to hold on to when the going gets rough. Even in Normal mode, the Raptor made me eager to go out and find something to hop over The grille is massive - duh - and its center clearance lights seem to have kicked off a new styling trend. The modern LED headlights (and tail lights) looked squeezed in by the enlarged fenders that are necessary for the big tires and big wheel travel. The underside is well protected - notice the clearance notch necessary for the suspension travel! The Raptors improves departure clearances with a restyled bumper. The V-6 exhaust sound can become exhausting. Posing in front of the mountains The roof is gigantic. The sunshade takes a long time to close - something to remember before the last second. The center console: Where rear carbon fiber meets up with faux carbon fiber to make each other look bad. Skipping the carbon fiber will also put a thousand bucks back in your pocket. Super-High-Output would also have been appropriate here. The turbo is turned up for the Raptor and is very strong. New for 2019 is Live Valve technology that continuously adjusts the dampening force for better all-around handling. Its happy place 1 The trails in CO turn from dry to deep wet snow in the shade. Its happy place 2 The super blocky front end says one thing - it's an extreme truck. Wide A very bright LED casts a wide band of light. Also power-folding mirrors are a must and save about 8" off the width. Homes along this road might have a Raptor in their garages for practical purposes
